El Castell de Guadalest

En el 2019 tuve la oportunidad de visitar este lindo pueblo ubicado junto al rio Guadalest, en Alicante, España. Un pueblo pintoresco del mediterráneo con una arquitectura en blanco resaltando sus elementos en piedra o sus techos de barro, ubicado en los más alto de la montaña y en la parte más elevada del municipio.  

Puedes pasear por este pueblo y todo el tiempo tienes unas vistas increíbles de este hermoso paisaje rocoso, y donde uno de sus puntos más altos es el cementerio de la ciudad, permitiendo una vista de casi 360 grados.

Puedes observar la influencia musulmana en su arquitectura y entre los lugares más emblemáticos están la Torre de Guadalest, el Castillo San Jose, el Castillo de la Alcozaiba, la Casa Orduña, el Rio Guadalest y su represa, la Iglesia parroquial Nuestra Señora de la Asunción. Además, posee una variedad de 8 muesos de los cuales uno de los más curiosos es el museo de las miniaturas.

In 2019 I had the opportunity to visit this beautiful town located next to the Guadalest river, in Alicante, Spain. A picturesque Mediterranean town with white architecture highlighting its stone elements and its clay roofs, located on the highest part of the mountain and in the highest part of the municipality.

You can walk through this town and all the time you have incredible views of this beautiful rocky landscape, and where one of its highest points is the city's cemetery, allowing a view of almost 360 degrees.

You can observe the Muslim influence in its architecture and among the most emblematic places are the Torre de Guadalest, the Castillo San Jose, the Castillo de la Alcozaiba, the Casa Orduña, the Rio Guadalest and its dam, the Parish Church Nuestra Señora de la Asunción. In addition, it has a variety of 8 museums of which one of the most curious is the museum of miniatures.
